Wear factor depends on mud type, additives, lubricants, casing interior, and tool joint protectors. CWPRO provides suggested values from industry standards (DEA-42).

The software tracks exposed areas during each operation. Wear from previous operations is used as the starting point for the next, accumulating over the sequence.

Default wear assumes linear increase over time. For small wear results (less than 5%), apply non-linear correction, which accounts for wear slowing as depth/time increases.
